Beach Cup

Title
The participants compete on four beaches for a qualifying spot for the pool final. The best participants will be crowned lifeguards and awarded prizes.

Participation
The participation is open to all persons. Participants outside Europe should be prepared to play at European times. Unless otherwise described, the tournament rules of WBIF Germany apply.

Place
The pairings are played in doubt at GridGammon.

Mode for the Beach Cups
4 tournaments will be drawn in the Single-KO system. The tournaments are independent of each other. Therefore, you usually have different players in each tournament. All tournaments matches are played to 7 points with the Heroes clock setting standard (10 seconds per move plus 2 minutes per matchpoint). The winners of the respective tournaments qualify for the pool final. (Special cases: If a player wins 2 tournaments, he automatically becomes 2nd in one tournament and the losing finalist qualifies. If both finalists have already qualified, they share 2nd place. The defeated semi-finalists then play for the qualification. Die Tournaments are ranked in alphabetical order: Amrum, Borkum, Rügen, Sylt.).

Mode for the Pool-Final
The final with 4 qualified participants will be played in the mode Round Robin. All tournament matches are played on 9 match points with the Heroes clock setting standard (10 seconds per move plus 2 minutes per matchpoint). If the number of wins is equal, the tiebreaker is the direct comparison. If this does not resolve all the ties, the corresponding participants will be seeded against each other again.

Schedule
The tournament starts immediately after the registration deadline. A minimum of 2 weeks playing time is granted for each round. The duration of the tournament depends on the number of necessary rounds.

Registration
For registered participants at WBIF Germany, the usual registration procedure in the "MY WBIF" area applies. Non-registered participants please log in first via the menu item WBIF REGISTRATION.
