Registration is possible until 30.12.2020 for registered members of WBIF Germany after login in the area MY WBIF - SIGN IN FOR T..

The name of the team and the participants must be given. A file with a team flag can be optionally attached.

Special conditions for team building
Each team must be assigned a so-called venue. A venue is in particular a regular tournament or meeting place as well as the origin (city or district) of the team members. Venues can also have several teams.

The reference to the venue must be expressed in the name and can be supplemented if necessary. The name should reflect the sporting competition of the tournament, e.g. BGT Lampertheim, Hannover Scorpions, 24point Manheim, Hessen-Cup FRA. The tournament management may decide on the admissibility of name additions. If several teams in a venue have the same name, the team management may add a classification mark (number, letter).

The teams will generally receive a German flag. The team can use its own flag if it is ensured that the team has the copyright for it. (State or city coats of arms are usually protected by copyright. However, they may be used here, as they only serve to inform about the origin of the team and in this context do not give the impression that this is an activity of the respective body). If necessary, the flag must be attached to the application as a graphic file.

Each team consists of at least 3 players (regular players) and possibly one additional substitute. One player must be named as team captain. The members of the team must be majority directly related to this venue, i.e. 2 of 3 or 3 of 4 team members. Players with a direct connection to a venue are bound in their selection to a team for that venue. Players without a direct connection to a venue may join other teams from the nearest venue.

Classes
The tourney is open for participants of all classes.

Where to play
In general the matches have to be played at Heroes. Participants without an account with Heroes are asked to register there before registering for the tournament.

Mode
The tournament will be played in the Swiss system over 16 rounds. All pairings are played to 11 points with the Heroes clock setting Standard (10 seconds per move plus 22 minutes per match). Decisive for the ranking are the victories as a team. In the event of equal numbers of victories, the following will be decisive: 1. direct comparison, 2. Buchholz classification. The determined performance rate has no influence on the outcome of the tournament. Furthermore, the tournament rules for WBIF Germany apply.

Shedule
The tournament starts on 01.01. and ends on 30.08. At the beginning of each calendar month the pairs for two rounds are drawn by lot. The matches are to be played until the end of the month. Each team can end the tournament prematurely by notifying the tournament management after the draw has been made.
