Crazy Christmas, Santa (Speed!)

Title
Santa has little time for much work on Christmas night. We therefore show solidarity and play speed backgammon tourneys in two classes. The winners of the toureys will be crowned Christmas elves!

Participation
Participation is open to all. Participants outside Europe should be able to play at European times. Registration is possible for registered players of WBIF Germany after login in the area MY WBIF - SIGN IN FOR TOURNEY until 13.11.2022. Unless otherwise described, the RULES of WBIF Germany apply.

Starting Classes
The participants declare with their registration to start in the class Speed or Fast. Each player has the free choice:

  • The class Speed is played with the Heroes clock setting Speed (6 seconds per move plus 24 seconds per match point, 2:48 minutes per match).
  • The class Fast is played with the Heroes clock setting Fast1 (10 seconds per move plus 30 seconds per match point, 3:30 minutes per match).

Location
Matches will be played in doubt at Backgammon Studio Heroes, Server 1. Participants without an account at Heroes are requested to register and to play some matches there before registering for the tourney.

Mode
The tourneys will be played in the triple ko system (Triple-Ko) to 7 points with the clock settings specified for the respective class.

Schedule
The tourney will start immediatly after registration deadline. Rounds 1 to 3, which are played at the same time, will have 3 weeks of playing time, and subsequent rounds will have 2 week of playing time.
